Team-  hope this note finds you all well on this cold Saturday.   I wanted to first introduce myself as I will be your coach (hopefully one of) for this upcoming LAX season.   As a bit of background, I have coached RHAM Youth Lacrosse for well over ten years.   As a former player, I do appreciate the game and hope the kids fall in love with all aspects of the experience.

IMPORTANT: I am reaching out to you parents for a bit of help.   As I travel a good bit during the week, I am looking for one or two “co-coaches” and some assistant coaches if available.   It is a truly fun experience and I can certainly help with the instructional details.   Last year we had three coaches and it afforded the kids a tremendous amount of instruction.   When we segment the team for drills, having a coach at each station really works well.   Please give me a call of email if you’re interested (please)!   My contact is   or 860-604-5147.

As it relates to my coaching philosophy, it is quite simple.   I want to make sure the kids learn to work hard, overcome challenge (resiliency), take chances, learn/develop the fundamentals of LAX, believe in themselves (confidence), stay positive, realize that practice is the only path to improvement, believe in the team, support each other and most importantly have fun!  If they are having fun, all the other elements will follow.

Our practice schedule will be Mondays and Fridays.   I do not know the game schedule as of yet.

We also could use a few more players!   If you know of anyone, please let me know.   We will also be starting indoor lacrosse on Friday nights at Sports on 66 in East Hampton.   The address is 265 High Street, East Hampton, CT.   This is just to get the sticks in their hands after a long winter (somewhat relaxed practice).   The schedule is below.  They need non-cleated shoes and full equipment for this indoor practice.

Bantam Boys & Girls

3/6 5:30 -6:30

3/13 6:30-7:30

3/20 5:30-6:30

3/27 5:30-6:30

4/3 5:30-6:30

4/10 6:30-7:30

Looking forward to a great season with lots of improvement!

My best,

Rob
