Players are grouped by grade, 3 and 4 grade players play at the Bantam Level (Grades 5 and 6 play at the Junior Level and Grades 7 and 8 play at the Senior Level).
The Bantam program provides limited regional competition in an instructional format. The Goals at this level are to develop core skills in the areas of throwing, catching, shooting, scooping and cradling, while understanding the various locations on the field and how to play together as a team on defense and offense. Full equipment is required, players will participate in practices and games through out the spring.
Players development can change from year to year and the opportunity to continue to develop can allow for opportunities later in the season or the following year. Programs are designed to provide similar levels of competition to the players current abilities. Player participation and development through practice and games will be generally be enhanced by self-practice and attendance at team events.
The spring season usually begins in late April and concludes in early June. Start times are determined by weather and the ability to get outside on the fields. Games usually start the second or third week of April.
